In October 2013, NCL held a BBQ competition at the The Green Man in Wembley, where five teams of five competed for the title of “Barbeque Kings”. We were blessed with a sunny day as the teams spent three hours preparing their dishes from a “Mystery” box of Ingredients. Each team had the same ingredients and had to prepare using their own ideas and recipes. The standard of food was exceedingly high and it meant that a very close fought competition was won by team “Magyars” who were adjudicated winners by the judges, Chris, Kami, Margaret and Bruce Mcloughlin.

On 7th March 2013 the col-lege organized a party and get together for its students in Wembley. There were approximately 30 students who attended the party where students firstly enjoyed drinks and a fun get—together at the pub. Time was spent talking over soft drinks and dancing to music in the sophisticated modern pub. Students enjoyed this time away from the classroom, with lecturers and NCl staff. This provided them with a great way to network and get to know academic staff.
