The past two years has indeed been a difficult time for all of us as the deadly pandemic Covid-19 placed a massive strain on our movements, freedom as well as our physical and mental health at large. It’s an undisputable fact that our teaching and learning was hugely affected even though there were other avenues such as online sessions available to stimulate effective teaching and learning. The College would like to express its endless gratitude to all stakeholders such as Staff, Lecturers, Covid-19 Testing Team and all non-teaching staff for all their resilience, hard work and positivity throughout the pandemic.

On Monday 11th and Tuesday 12th March a team of experts from London Metropolitan University visited Nelson College in order to carry out two important tasks. The first was to review how the College had been delivering programmes of study validated by the University for delivery by the College – namely two Foundation Degrees (in Business & Hospitality Management) and two ‘top-up’ programmes to convert Pearsonvalidated HNDs into London Met-validated Bachelor’s degrees. The second was to validate two taught Master’s degrees: one in International Business (Management) and one in International Business (Hospitality Management). I am pleased to report that London Met’s team has recommended – subject to conditions being fulfilled – both the revalidation of existing London Met-accredited programmes and the validation of the proposed Master’s degrees.
