Course Description
This vibrant and dynamic course incorporates value-adding input from guest speakers and industry specialists. It is composed of three modules that cover hospitality management in relation to managing people (Issues in Human Resource Management), managing processes (Hospitality Operations), and managing strategy development (Strategic Planning for the Hospitality Industry).
The Research Project module aims to support students in developing a critical, scholarly, and appreciative understanding of the principles and practices of organisational inquiry. The module builds on skills developed in the Research Methods module in Semester 1 and enables students to demonstrate their ability to conduct independent research. It provides students with the opportunity to undertake a research investigation into a specific business challenge, issue, or problem, culminating in the production of detailed findings and recommendations.
Students will graduate this course business-ready and be in a position to seek employment in the hospitality industry or related sectors.
