Helen Pickering, with over 30 years of distinguished service in the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), has an extensive background in international relations, organisational culture improvement, and operational management.

Her overseas assignments included roles as Deputy Ambassador where she played a key role in fostering and maintaining diplomatic relationships with numerous European countries.

She has also served as a school governor for over eight years, supporting two primary schools in areas with high deprivation indexes.
